You'll have everything you want in the world famous chic capital city. Paris is just one of those cities that make you go 'ahh' and 'aww' every street you turn.
Pastry, stunning architecture, all-around beauty and delicious wine aside, Paris is an incredible city where you and the girls will have an incredible hen weekend. We are pretty sure it's a city everyone dreams about visiting at least once in their life and we can't think of a better time to visit then with your best friends on a hen weekend.
With an office in Paris and a true love for the city, plus years of experience, we have a few suggestions to make your hen weekend in Paris even more amazing and memorable.
When it comes to sightseeing, we tend to opt for the no walking option and there is no better non-walking sightseeing activity than the Beer or Brunch Bike. The concept of the Beer Bike is very simple; pedalling and drinking with a spot of sightseeing through one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Perfect for your hen weekend in Paris. And, the Brunch Bike includes French pastries, Hot drinks, Juice & Smoothie, Sweet & savoury items and a mixed board.
If you and the girls prefer wine over beer, there is also our Drinks on the Seine activity, which will see you enjoy a private cruise down the Seine with a few bottles of wine. And, this is perfect just before sunset.
Being the capital of France, Parisians know a thing or two about good wine and after a Wine Tasting session during your hen weekend, so will you. Wine tasting sessions are always a great addition to a hen weekend and this one in the heart of Paris will be no different.
When it comes to nightlife and eating out, don't get fooled like other tourists, we know the best bars, restaurants and clubs and can organise everything from dinner to a Party Bus that's complete with a stripper & DJ.
There is so much to love when it comes to a hen weekend in Paris and its array of amazing hen weekend activities is just one of many reasons for so much love.
For the active hen parties, there is Paintball, Karting, Multi-Activity Days, Tree-Top Adventure (Go Ape), Dance Classes, Axe Throwing and even Crash Rooms.
But, if it's relaxation and chic activities you are after, there is a French Pastry Workshop, Cocktail Making Workshop, Spa Days, Massages, Photoshoots, a Cooking & Photography Workshop a Beauty Party, Limo Tours, classy dinners and Drinks on the Seine.
Firstly, when you are in Paris, you can finally say Champagne and drink it too. You won't find bubbly or sparkling wine here, it's the real deal and at least one celebratory bottle needs to be popped during the hen weekend in Paris.
And, just like how the French know good wine, food and Champagne, they know their nightlife and how to party too.
We have an office in Paris and they know their city's nightlife better than anyone. Luckily for us, they've shed some light on what areas to go out in, some of the best clubs and all-around how to have an amazing night out in Paris.
The best nightlife areas include:
Bercy near Gare d'Austerlitz: Here you'll find hoards of great clubs playing all the dancefloor favourites. You'll find the majority of them in Cité de la Mode et du Design or City of Fashion and Design. Some of the most notable clubs include Café Oz, Wanderlust, Communion, Garage and Nnuits Fauves. if you walk a little further, you'll find a famous techno club called La Concrete, which is actually on a boat.
Bastille & Oberkamf: If bar hopping and guided bar crawls are more your things, Bastille or Oberkamf, or both, are a great starting point. The streets are laden with bars, cafes, crepe stands, kebab shops and restaurants. If you are in Oberkamf and fill like shots, you won't find better then Espit Chupitos. You can choose from hundreds of shots, but you choose by name and don't know what you're getting, which is part of the fun and appeal. More importantly, they are only €3 each. So, shots, shots, shots and more shots when it comes to a hen weekend in Paris.
Pigalle: Well, apart from being home to the Moulin Rouge, this vibrant and colourful area is home to plenty of bars and clubs. None more important than the multi-level, multi-room party madhouse that is La Machine du Moulin Rouge.
Rue des Lombards in Châtelet: Fancy sipping cocktails while listening to some amazing jazz music during your Paris hen weekend? Well, Rue des Lombards in Châtelet is the place you'll find three of the main French jazz club. You'll also find plenty of restaurants, cocktail bars, wine bars and Irish pubs.
Rue Princesse and Rue Saint Maur: Rue Princesse and Rue Saint Maur are what the French call Rues de la soif, which translates to drinking streets. We think we have said enough here!
Champs Elysées: The most famous street in Paris and known for its designer stores, the Champs Elysées is also a party hot spot with top clubs including Hobo (Hip hop), Duplex (Hip hop), Regine's (Regine is an old lady who opened the first nightclub in the world) and L'Arc, which is on the fancier side.
From a Bar Crawl with challenges to Club Entry and Drinks Packages, we can plan the perfect night out for your hen weekend. Trust us, with local knowledge, local guides and a ton of experience, you can't have a better night out in Paris than what Maximise can organise for you.
If you are choosing to fly into Paris, you have the city's main airport Charles de Gaulle, as well as two smaller airports Orly Airport and Paris Beauvais-Tille Airport. You'll find plenty of daily flights from throughout the UK to both Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airport, however, flights are limited to Beauvais-Tille.
While it's not imperative, we recommend flying into Charles de Gaulle Airport instead of Orly Airport. While both connect to the city's RER B train line, which gets you into the city centre, the Orly Airport train service is not direct between its terminals and the centre of Paris.
A dedicated airport train link called OrlyVal does connect the airport terminals at Orly with the RER B station at Antony, but, we prefer the ease of getting the train from Charles de Gaulle Airport directly into the centre of Paris.
Alternatively, you could skip all this and book airport transfers with Maximise instead. Regardless of what airport you fly into, we can get you to your accommodation in the city centre with our airport transfers.
If you are taking the train to Paris, you'll be arriving at Gare du Nord. You can either book transfers with us, or we recommend getting a Paris Visite travel pass. Valid for 1, 2, 3 or 5 days, you'll have unlimited travel on all of the public transport in Paris. These are great if you plan on moving about and relying on public transport otherwise single trips will cost you can get a t+ ticket, which is a single one-way ticket starting at £1.65.
When it comes to the famed icon that is the Eiffel Tour, the closest station is Champ de Mars (Tour Eiffel) on the train line RER C. Other Metro stations close to the Eiffel Tower include Ecole Militaire on Line 8 and Bir-Hakeim on Line 6. However, for the best view of the Eiffel Tower, get out at Trocadéro on Metro Line 6 or 9. It's on the opposite side of the Seine River but makes for some great views and photo opportunities.
For other great views, as well as places you must visit during a hen weekend in the French capital, don't go past Montmartre. Known as The Mountain Of Martyrs, this 130-metre high hill, is an incredibly beautiful and unique village within the city. Along with Sacré-Cœur and incredible views of the city, you'll find cobble-stoned streets buzzing with cafes, artist, street performers, restaurants and shops. Montmartre also connects to Pigalle, which is where you'll find the Moulin Rouge, sex shops and a ton of bars and restaurants.
SHOPPING. It's an important topic in a woman's life but even more so when it comes to a hen weekend in Paris. Unfortunately, most of us can't afford the designer stores on Champs Elysées so instead, you'll want to head to Rue de Rivoli and Forum des Halles. Also known as Châtelet Les Halles, which is the train station beneath it, Forum des Halles is a massive shopping centre in Paris.
If Paris is a place you think the bride-to-be would want to keep for the honeymoon, there is also Budapest, Brussels, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Tenerife or Munich that make for a fabulous hen weekend abroad.
And, if dealing with international airports or changing your money into euros sounds like too much hassle, just stick to the motherland. Out top hen weekend destinations in the Uk include London, Bristol, Brighton, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Bournemouth, Birmingham, York, Chester, Blackpool, Nottingham and Oxford to name a few.
