With less than a hundred days to the year 2020, we think now is the best time to consider bringing in the New Year with an unforgettable hen weekend. We know all the best places to jet off to and bring it in in style!
We’ve been organising hen parties for almost 20 years now, so we’d like to think we’ve learnt a bit about amazing nights out and New Year’s Eve might just be our favourite!
If you’re fed up of watching all the action from the sofa with a glass of bubbly, we’ve got a couple of suggestions that might just hit the spot.
Hen Party in Paris
Paris loves to party and New Year's is no exception.
Miss the packed-out airports over the holiday season and grab the Eurostar over with a bottle of bubbly and join in the crowds of people celebrating across the city.
Champs-Elysees will be the busiest spot in the city with a parade, light shows and packed-out bars waiting for the countdown. If you want top views of the Eiffel Tower head to Champs De Mars or Trocadéro.
Or if money is no object and you want to celebrate with all the things Paris is famed for, head to one of the spectacular shows at the Moulin Rouge and bring in the New Year with amazing performances, lobster and champagne. If you can't get tickets for Moulin Rouge, there is also Lido and Crazy Horse. All equally amazing.
On New Year's Eve, you'll find all the restaurants offering a special menu that includes Lobster and champagne. But if that's not your style, you'll also find a great selection of bars and clubs to enjoy, which are open ‘til late. New Years Eve in Amsterdam
Party capital of Europe, Amsterdam is as friendly as it is mad and for New Year’s Eve they go all out, which will be absolutely perfect for a hen do.
While it might be known as the world's most opened-minded city, it's not all about the red-light district or coffee shops serving up more than just lattes. Amsterdam also has plenty of innocent activities, as well as, beautiful architecture, the canals and rich culture to soak up during a hen weekend. And, it only gets better for NYE.
You’ll find firework shows across the city and an abundance of canal sidebars to hop between. Of course, the best ways to enjoy the canals will be one of our fantastic cruises.
As for Dutch delights, while the stroopwafel usually gets all the attention, the real treat is the oliebol, which is similar to a doughnut and can be found at an oliebollenkramen (oliebollen stand). It's sure to be the perfect midnight treat with a glass of champagne.
Street parties can be found in Dam Square, Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein, with plenty of beer tents, food stalls and very merry locals!
And if you’re not feeling so peachy in the morning, wake yourself up by heading to Zandvoort aan Zee for the New Year’s Dip, a tradition going on for nearly 60 years where all the locals bring in the New Year by hurling themselves into the freezing water of the North Sea for a splash.
From hedonistic nights to fun-filled days, Amsterdam is an adult's playground and an unbeatable city for a New Year's hen weekend.
Bring in the New Year with a London Hen Do
It makes sense that London would make the list!
Don’t just sit in the living room at home watching it on the telly—go experience London in all its madness and glory for yourself.
The official fireworks show itself is ticketed these days, but there’s a huge variety of places you can go and grab a glass of bubbly with a great view including the Embankments very own boat bar on the Thames, Tattershall Castle. Or, for an exclusively incredible view, head up the Shard to watch from above London.
That’s not to say fireworks are the only thing to do, as always London’s best nightlife areas like Shoreditch, Soho and Leicester Square have thousands of bars ready to welcome you with open arms and a drink. And, Maximise had all the greatest deals, bar crawls and drinks packages.
Party in Prague with a New Year's Hen Do
With flowing cheap food and drinks, exciting activities and friendly locals, it should come as no surprise that Prague top spot for a hen do.

If you and the girls are seasoned night owls and party animals a New Year's hen do in Prague won't disappoint, especially if you're after plenty of fun without having to spend plenty of money.

Don't let the winding cobblestoned streets, hilltop castle or lovely Vltava River fool you. Prague might appear all prim and proper, but behind its historic facade lies an all-out party monster. New Year's Hen Party in Edinburgh
Famed for its Hogmanay Party, people venture from all over the world to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Edinburgh.
If by some miracle you’ve not heard of it, Hogmanay is the Scots word for the last day of the year and it's also Edinburgh's biggest and best celebration. Featuring everything from fireworks to Christmas markets to carnival rides, wild street parties and several stages with non-stop performances, Edinburgh will be a wild and wonderful city to celebrate your hen do in.
When you are not enjoying Hogmanay, Edinburgh has an abundance of great hen party activities to enjoy including Buttler in the Buff, Nude Life Drawing and Cocktail Making to the crazier Mini Highland Games. At night, the fun continues with everything from traditional pubs in the old town to vibrant party hot spots over the bridge in the new town area.
Candlemaker Row, Victoria Street and Grassmarket are where you'll find slightly cheaper drinks and live music in the Old Town.
Whatever you are after Edinburgh will provide and it's one city that knows how to put on one hell of a party, making it a fantastic spot to celebrate a hen do on New Year's Eve.
Big Celebrations in Berlin for your Hen Do
Considered one of the wildest and largest street parties in Europe, Berlin goes all out when it comes to New Year’s Eve making it perfect for a hen do.
Easily one of the most anticipated events in Germany, which attracts more than a million people, the largest of Berlin's New Year's Eve festivities will be found between Brandenburg Gate and Victory Column. Dubbed the Party Mile, the 2km stretch is lined with bars, food stands, live music, light shows, fireworks, party tents, DJs and more.
This is not to be missed during your hen do in Berlin.
