Your Guide To The Perfect Budapest Hen Party

Budapest has an extensive public transport network, which includes buses, trolleybuses, trams, underground trains (Metro) and above-ground suburban trains (HÉV). These all help make getting around Budapest during your hen weekend easy and affordable.

Like most big cities, you'll need to purchase your ticket or pass beforehand. These can be found at Metro stations, tobacconists and newsagents, as well as from vending machines at most stations.

Getting a taxi in Budapest is also pretty affordable. They are easily identified by their yellow registration plates and clearly displayed company name, as well as a sign which says "City Taxi". The basic rate is roughly 450 HUF (£1.25), and you can expect to pay between 250-300 HUF per kilometre, which works out to be less than a pound
