Budapest Hen Weekend ideas

Budapest is packed full of beautiful sights, the quirkiest nightlife and incredible hen party activities, as well as being easy on the purse strings - you won't top Budapest for a hen weekend abroad.

Split into Buda and Pest districts by the Danube River, Buda is the scenic-historical side of the city while Pest is packed full of pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants and enough hen party activities to keep even the fussiest bride-to-be happy.

With its famous thermal baths, grand old coffeehouses and beautiful buildings, Budapest has plenty of eye candy to make it a popular destination for tourists and hen parties alike.

But, it also happens to be home to some of our favourite hen party activities like the fabulous River Cruises, Burlesque Dances Classes, Escape Rooms and Cocktail Making

While Budapest is know as the city of spas with dozens of thermal baths as well as hundreds of natural thermal springs, you might think this is nothing bud a relaxing and sleepy city.

But, Budapest certainly has a wild side. From a 'checky' Butler in the Buff during the day and a Private River Cruise & Strip to it's wild and colourful nightlife, this is a city that parties until dawn every night too.

This is Budapest, there will be no doing things by half measures when it comes to a hen party. It is go big or bigger in this party city.

For the most out of a hen party enjoy the Szechenyi Thermal Baths and a Massage on the first day of the hen weekend. A great way to relax and prepare for the night ahead.

For the afternoon go all-out with a Private Cruise complete with UNLIMITED DRINKS and a Stripper before enjoying a Three-Course Meal and hitting up the nightlife Budapest is famed for.

As for the nightlife, you can't come to Budapest without seeing the Ruin Bars, so you absolutely have to go on a bar crawl to the best of them

On day two of your hen weekend be sure to give the bride-to-be a little treat in the form of a Sexy Policeman Prank before going to the extreme with Tank Driving. Enjoy dinner with a stripper and then an All You Can Drink Bar Crawl.

Budapest is a city that really outdoes itself and has a plethora of great activities to offer our hen parties.

Among the favourites are visiting the Gellért Thermal Baths or Szechenyi Thermal Baths, River Cruises, Belly Dancing, Pole Dancing or Butler in the Buff.

Budapest's nightlife is among the best and cheapest you'll find in Europe, it's rich, wild, colourful and will not disappoint if you like partying and clubbing until dawn.

With everything from mega nightclubs to the chilled-out ruin bars or the crazy Spa Parties, Budapest is a truly unique nightlife destination, one that's ideal for hen parties and is one giant surprise after another.

Prepare yourselves for a night like no other during your hen weekend in Budapest!

While Budapest will fascinate you with its impressive variety of clubs and bars, we suggest going on one of our guided bar crawls to really have a mind-blowing night. When it comes to a large group of ladies ready to party, we always recommend organising airport transfers with Maximise. No hassle and no stress of organising public transport or taxis. No one wants to be handed that job!

Whether you want a standard bus or upgrade to a Party Bus, Limo, Hummer or go all out and have a stripper, we have your transport sorted and can accommodate groups as large as 33 in the Grand Daddy Limo.

Budapest has something for everyone, it's one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe and is rich in culture, history, art and architecture.

Some of the top attractions include Buda Castle, Hungarian Parliament Building Stephen's Basilica, Fisherman's Bastion, The Danube Promenade, Matthias Church, Heroes' Square and the19th-century Chain Bridge that connects hilly Buda district with flat Pest. If sightseeing is on the agenda, you can discover these beauties and more with a guided tour during your hen weekend.

When it comes to getting around, the city has an extensive public transport network and includes buses, trolleybuses, trams, underground trains (Metro) and above-ground suburban trains (HÉV). Buses, trams and trolleybuses run daily from 4.30 am until 11 pm.

The three Metro lines interconnect at Deák tér Station and the HÉV runs to and from Csepel Island and Ráckeve in the south, Szentendre in the north, and Gödöllő in the east.

Tickets or passes must be bought before boarding and are available at Metro stations, tobacconists and newsagents, as well as from vending machines at most stations.

When it comes to getting a Taxi, these are pretty affordable and clearly identifiable with their yellow registration plates and display the company name as well as "City Taxi".

You can expect to pay between 250-300 HUF per kilometre, which works out to be less than a pound per kilometre and 450 HUF (£1.25) as the basic fare.

Bigger taxi companies offer rates lower than the maximum listed above. Most of them have an English-speaking telephone operator, and you may ask them to send a driver that speaks at least basic English.

While Budapest is one of our top hen party destinations, it is right up there with Barcelona, Benidorm, Amsterdam, Marbella, Tenerife, Ibiza and London. So if Budapest isn't for you check out our other top hen party destinations.
