Rich in history, Oxford’s beauty isn’t just skin deep. The city combines stunning architecture with a cosmopolitan atmosphere, making it an ideal Hen Do destination.
While Oxford looks picture perfect and a photographer's dream, this city offers more than just its beautiful surroundings. The city is packed with plenty of fantastic hen do activities and many chic pubs and cocktail bars. Oxford is the sophisticated city getaway you and the girls need on your hen do!
There are also loads of great shopping opportunities in Oxford. Two high streets, Queen Street and Cornmarket Street, and the Westgate Shopping Centre make for a city with more to buy than you could possibly carry home! There are many small boutiques, markets and big chain shops for you to enjoy.
It has all your favourite hen party activities like Cocktail Making and Dance Classes, but if you want something different you could board on the luxury Picnic River Cruise. Where you will enjoy a 2-hour cruise with a gourmet picnic included! Another option is to head out for a delicious Vineyard Tour & Tastings session in a 14-acre vineyard just south of the city.
Being a city in miniature, it’s easy to find a bar or club in Oxford. We can sort your group out with a Bar & Club Combo so you can visit the best bars and clubs throughout the city.
Having one of the world’s most famous universities means Oxford has a huge student population, and therefore never-ending cheap drinks! If you want to mix in with the student crowd and drink yourselves silly then head down to George Street or the King’s Arms, on Holywell Street.
Oxford has some alternative nightlife available, and one of our favourites is the Murder Mystery Evening. You and the girls enjoy a delicious dinner in a private function room as you try to find the murderer by uncovering the clues! The catch? The murderer is someone in this room... it's up to your group to find out who!
There isn’t much public transport that runs at night, so taxis are your best bet for getting around in the evening during your hen weekend in Oxford. They’re well priced and can be hailed from the street, or you can call one of the many cab companies around.
If you’re travelling from London, you can always hop on the Oxford Tube. No, it’s not part of the underground! It’s a very cheap bus service that runs from London to Oxford, and if you book far enough in advance you may even get them for as little as £1 per person!
Any Harry Potter fans in the house? Of course, there is. Take a trip to the Christ Church Cathedral, or as you know it as... HOGWARTS! Well, part of Hogwarts anyway. Many scenes were filmed here, all the way from the Hogwarts Library to the Great Hall.
Looking for a delicious souvenir you can eat on the way home? The Oxford Fudge Kitchen produces some of the best fudge in the world and is renowned in its field. If the hen has a sweet tooth this will be one sweet treat.
