Glasgow is one of the best up-and-coming hen do destinations in the UK, even giving London a run for its money. Shortcake and tartan aside, the city is full of Scottish charm with everything you need, from the best activities, fabulous nightlife, & luxurious accommodation, for an unforgettable time.
Fast-paced, dry-humoured, and a nightlife jacked up on steroids, Glasgow is a city with personality and plenty of punch. Previously overlooked, in recent years Glasgow hen weekends have started to overtake local rivals Edinburgh in the Highland hen stakes. It’s a modern, thriving metropolis with plenty on offer for hen parties.
For your Glasgow hen do, Maximise can offer old favourites like Cocktail Making and Wine Tasting. And with Scotland responsible for the production of over 70% of the UK’s gin, it’s no surprise that one of our most popular activities is a Gin Tasting Class. We also provide a range of dance classes, from Dirty Dancing to Belly Dancing to keep you entertained.
Glaswegians really know how to party, so the nighttime is when your Glasgow hen do will really come alive. Some of the best areas to go to are the City Centre and West End. The centre has plenty of bars, especially on Sauchiehall Street and Buchanan Street, making them ideal to begin a Bar Crawl. Led by your very own local hunk, you’ll get a guided tour of the best places to drink in the city, saving you from wasting time in any dives.
Another great area to start your night is The Merchant City. There are loads of clubs and exclusive bars out here, so it can be a tad more expensive than the rest of the city.
Glasgow has a large range of clubs to cater to any taste, and some of the most popular venues are The Sanctuary, La Cheetah, and Revolution. We can get you girls access to almost every nightclub in Glasgow with our queue jump Nightclub Entry.
We love a good night out, but there are plenty of other options if you fancy something more low-key. A Murder Mystery is a great way to spend the evening, giving you and your group a lovely dinner whilst trying to find out which one of you is the killer!
Glasgow is an excellent location when it comes to shopping. Buchanan Street features established names such as L'Occitane, Lush, Monsoon, and Coast to name just a few. The city is also known for its world-renowned art galleries. The Kelvingrove and The Hunterian Art Galleries are two terrific locations and definitely worthy of a visit.
Travelling around Glasgow is simple. The best way to get about is using the Subway, which costs as little as £1.40 and only takes about 25 minutes to get to all 15 stations. Another way to get around is by cab, which can be easily hailed from the street.
If you’re travelling from London you can get train tickets for around £45, although it does depend on how early you book them. Flights from London take about an hour and you can usually find return flights for around £50.
